Bio

Jeff Banowetz is a freelance writer and editor based just outside of Chicago. He's worked for magazines, newspapers and digital news outlets. He's also has extensive experience helping companies produce e-newsletters, feature stories, posts and multimedia copy. Much of his career has been devoted to covering fitness-oriented sports, and in his spare time he loves running, cycling, hiking, tennis, cross-country skiing and volleyball. He lives with his wife and three kids in Naperville, Ill., where he's involved coaching youth sports and, when he has time, tinkering around the garage with woodworking projects. He pays way too much attention to sports in Philadelphia, where he was raised. 

Proficient in Word, Excel, Google apps, QuarkXPress, InDesign, InCopy and other apps in the Adobe Creative Cloud. Familiar with content management systems for online publishing, e-newsletter publishing and social media scheduling. Experience with SEO and only moderately concerned that ChatGPT will destroy his livelihood.
